Jollof Rice (Ghana Jollof)
“Cooking is art. A chef is an artist. I dish is a masterpiece!” - Maazin Mohammed Muhib (@zzzinnn)
Jollof rice is one of the most popular rice dishes in west Africa.
I like to prepare Jollof rice because it takes a short time to cook. As I’m a student, I don’t have the luxury of time. I need to get it over with quick to get back to my studies and course materials.
Also, I like Jollof rice because of the art in preparing the food. I see cooking as a form of art. Putting different things together to produce one thing beautiful piece is feel so good.
With Jollof, you can decide to eat it like that, or add stew, and/or vegetables, and/or fish or meat(chicken, beef, etc) and/or anything you can take with rice.
Because of the time factor I usually take my Jollof rice as it in the picture below.
In the above picture, there is basically all the needed ingredients to prepare a JOLLOF RICE meal.
We have cooking oil, table salt, tomato paste, mackerel, shrimp spice cube, chopped onion, rice, and spaghetti(optional).
This is what JOLLOF RICE looks like as a prepared meal. Here I added a different kind of spaghetti.
