Club100 | SteemFoods X Steemit Engagement Challenge Contest 1️⃣| Chicken Karahi Recipe
|
---|
Hello beautiful food lover. Here I am presenting the yummy karahi in my style. There are many types of karahi but today I'll be writing about koila chicken karahi. Karahis are actually originated in Peshawar as per Google. In Pakistan people usually eat it with the naan, roti or paratha as well. It's one of my favourite dishes as I've already mentioned. I love white karahi the most. I tried koila karahi this time because my mama don't like white karahi. Let's get into the recipe and steps now.
INGREDIENTS | QUANTITY |
---|---|
chicken | 1 kg |
Tomatoes | 4 |
Onion | 2 |
Ginger garlic paste | 3 TSP |
Green chillies | 5-6 |
Red chilli powder | 1/2 TSP |
Coriander powder | 1 and 1/2 TSP |
Salt | 1/2 TSP |
Coal | 1-2 pieces |
Zeera powder | 1/2 TSP |
coriander leaves | as required |
Ginger | as required |
INGREDIENTS | PRICE IN STEEM |
---|---|
chicken | 5 |
Tomatoes | 1 |
Onion | 1 |
Ginger garlic paste | 0.5 |
Green chillies | 0.2 |
Red chilli powder | 0.8 |
Coriander powder | 0.35 |
Salt | 0.4 |
Coal | 0.2 |
Zeera powder | 0.3 |
coriander leaves | 0.2 |
Ginger | 0.1 |
Step one is to grind tomatoes, onions, ginger garlic paste and green chillies. After making a smooth past of all the things, we will pour it in the pan where we have already taken 1 kg Chicken. We will cook it in a slow to medium flame. I grind the things because it becomes easy to cook in my opinion.
Step 2 is to add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt according to your own taste. Then cover the pot and cook on a medium flame for 15 minutes. I set a timer of 15 minutes usually. After removing the lid you can see. It would look like the picture below.
Add the coriander powder and zeera powder in the pot and cook it for 4-5 minutes on a high flame. Then add 2-3 TSP of yogurt in it and cook it until the water of the yogurt will evaporate.
We will cut the green chilies, garlic and coriander leaves for garnishing. Then add it into the pot along with the chili flakes and black pepper powder in it. It would enhance the taste of the recipe. Now on the other hand red hot the coal and in a disposable plate put that coal into the pot and cover with the lid. Cook on a low flame for 4-5 minutes and your dish is ready to eat. You can see the final look below.
it was soo yummy. If you like traditional food, must give it a try. I love this karahi. Thank you everyone for reading. Hope you liked it.
