Who Is My Favorite Greengrocer?

My favourite greengrocer is a well known supermarket "Cargills", They sell fruits and vegetables directly from their own local farmers under the brand "GoodHarvest".

It is the first supermarket in our area. I have been visiting this grocery store since the time I was schooling. My mom used to buy fruits and vegetables from the supermarket.

My mom is highly concerned when buying fruits and vegetables. She always prefers to buy organic fruits and veggies for us. Most of the sellers sell fruits and veggies which are not good for health. She always goes to Cargills when she needs to buy fruits and vegetables.

When it comes to fruits and vegetables, Cargills have never disappointed me. They provide fruits and vegetables with very cautious use of agrochemicals and fertilizers therefore it's safe for consumption.

Fruits and vegetables are important for health. We consume these everyday. We need to be very careful when choosing a greengrocer. Sometimes we might unknowingly buy fruits and veggies which have many agrochemicals. And it may lead to several health diseases even if we are consuming fruits and veggies.

Many farmers do not have good agriculture practises, they overuse agrochemicals and fertilizers to protect their crops. So it is completely up to us to find safe foods which we consume daily.

Like my mom I too prefer to buy fruits and veggies which have less agrochemicals and fertilizers, They sell fruits and veggies which are SL- GAP certified products and they sell a variety of fruits and vegetables. That's why Cargills is my favourite green grocer in town.

I can easily reach Cargills in less than 10 mins and it’s located just 3km away from my home. Directions

It’s Interior & Exterior View

Cargills branch in Katubedda is easily noticeable as it is located on the main road. It’s known as the “Big city” because it also has a shopping mall on top of it. The exterior view of cargills is beautiful. When you go to the Big city you can find everything in one place.

Exterior View - This is the entrance to Cargills food city, They follow all Covid helath regualations and check each customers before entering.

Interior View- Everything is well organized and anything can be found easily. This is the fruits and veggies area, All promotion price details are put up for easy reference. And it is easily understandable for anybody.

Wide Range of Fruits & Vegetables

A variety of Fresh fruits and vegetables are available at Cargills for a resonable price. Seasonal - Non seasonal fruits and veggies are available. That's one thing I like the most, You can find anything you want at anytime

How about the prices of fruits and Vegetables?

The prices are reasonable, It’s not very expensive compared to other greengrocer stores. The best thing about this place is you can find seasonal fruits/veggies at a cheaper rate. I have mentioned few here for you to see.

Since I have vegetables at home, I bought Cucmber because it is something which I need regularly. It cost me 111.50 LKR for 1 Kg which is about 3.63 STEEM

Their Service

Cargills have a supportive staff, they are very helpful and active. They value our freedom when choosing our products. We need to weigh our fruits and veggies before taking it to the Cashier. The staff is very efficient and does not waste time.They have many cashiers and can make cash or card payments.
