The Inseparable Duo : Cake and Pastry

I made a very bulging pastry and sponge cake. I will explain how they are made by mentioning some of the tricks.

Ingredients for the Cake
4 eggs
1.5 cups sugar
2 glasses of flour
Half a glass of oil
Half a glass of water
Baking powder
Vanilla

Separate the yellow and white parts of the eggs. Add half the oil, water, vanilla, flour and sugar into the egg yolks.

The other half of the sugar and a little salt are added to the egg whites. It is whisked until it reaches the consistency of whipped cream.

The cream-like mixture is added to the mixture with egg yolks in 3 stages and mixed slowly with the help of a spatula.

Pour the homogeneous mixture into the oiled cake mold and put it in the oven preheated to 160 degrees.

It is very important not to open the oven during the cooking time. If we do it this way, we can get a Japanese Cheesecake-like cake.

Ingredients for the Pastry
1 egg
1.5 spoons of sugar
1 water glass measure of oil
1.5 cups of warm milk
1 pack of yeast
as much flour as it takes

Milk, sugar and yeast are mixed in a bowl. Liquid oil is poured on it and mixing is continued.

Flour is added slowly to obtain a soft dough that does not stick to the hand. Cover the dough and wait for half an hour to ferment.

When the dough volume is doubled, it is placed in the desired shape and placed on the oven tray. Egg yolk is smeared on it. If you want, you can sprinkle black seed on it.

It is cooked in an oven preheated to 170 degrees for about 20 minutes.
