How to prepare Cocoyam and Cabbage (100% POWERED UP)
Hello dear steemians happy weekend. It's a Saturday and today I will be sharing with you how to prepare Cocoyam and Cabbage. It's a common meal eaten in my area and today I made it for lunch.
INGREDIENTS
- Cocoyam
- Cabbage
- Smoked fish
- Egusi
- Tomato
- Onion
- Crayfish
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Green spices
- Maggi
- Salt

PROCEDURE
Cocoyam
- Fix Cocoyam, wash , put in a clean pot, add water
- Place on the fire and boil for about 25 minutes
- Remove and drain out water and keep
boiled Cocoyam
Soup
Slice cabbage and wash very well with warm water or with salt. This helps to remove the extra water in the cabbage which causes stomach stomach problems.
Slice tomato, onion and green spice and keep
Peel ginger and garlic, ground and keep
Fix the fish removing the dirt and bones from it
- Put oil in a pot and place on the fire
- Put in onion and fry for a while before adding tomato and fry for about 7 minutes
- Wash the smoked fish and add then fry for about 5 minutes

- Ground water in the egusi and mix well with water to form a paste and add to the pot and fry for about 5 minutes
- Add ground ginger and garlic
- Add your washed cabbage and mix very well to be uniform with other ingredients.
Cabbage mixed with other ingredients
- Add in pepper, maggi and pinch of salt to taste.
- Allow to steam for about 7 minutes and remove.
- Remove and serve
