Hello steemians how are you?
So I am taking part in this first contest of steemfoods COMMUNITY.. I was thinking to take part in the last few c contest also but due to lock down in India I was unable to take participate in fue contests.
But today I am free to participate in this video contest at hundred percent power up.

Today I made Indian style Gujarati dhokla which is considered to be one of the healthiest breakfast in Gujarat and also so it is one of the easiest dish I have ever seen and cook before.

I am giving you the description link of my video you can go through it and check all the details but here also I am providing the ingredients and instructions that how to cook Indian style dhokla.
But if you watch my video it will help you more to understand the way of cooking dhokla.

  • Chickpeas flour(besan)
  • Curd
  • Lemon
  • Ginger garlic green chilli
  • Turmeric powder red chilli powder and salt
  • ENO
  • Sugar
  • asafoetida
  • black mustard seeds
  • Coriander

Steps of cooking.

  1. Add chickpeas flour( besan ) in a bowl and add salt turmeric and red chilli powder.
  2. Now add curd into it and mix it well.
  3. Now take ginger garlic and green chilli and prepare a solid paste by beating technique shown in video.
  4. Now add solid paste in bowl and mix it well.
  5. Now your batter is ready take a mould and greeze it well using oil and add batter into it .
  6. Now put this mould in a pan have small amount of water and stand. Since dhokla is cooked by steam.
  7. After putting it leave it for 20 mins.
  8. Now take a knife and check dhokla is cooked or not i.e. stab knife in dhokla and see if batter stick on knife or not. If yes , cook for more 5-10 mins and if not your dhokla is ready.
  9. It's time to make tadka for it , take a pan add oil in it.
  10. After that add asafoetida in it and black mustard seeds.
  11. Now add salt sugar red chilli and mis it well.
  12. It's time to add water in it , when you see water start boiling clos the gas stove and sprinkle this water on dhokla and leave for 2 mins.
  13. Your dhokla is now ready to eat have it with love and taste.
