Watalappan
Today I wanted to make some dessert. And decided to make Watalappan. Origin of this dessert goes back to Dutch colonial period and it is known as that the Dutch word for custard .

But I made a little change of ingredients today. I used Golden syrup instead of jaggery. Used same amount of all three ingredients. I used 1 cup by each.
Mix coconut milk with golden syrup first.
And then and eggs by whisk them using a whisker. You can you a hand mixer also.
After mixing all three ingredients together, add some vanilla essence.
This is something I do... I add little bit of spice powders made at home to make my watalappan smells and taste more.
Steam it or bake it about 30 - 40 minutes.
Finally it looks like this.
adding some cashew nuts on top will make it more nice and yummuy.
