Simple and yet Delicious Ghanaian dish//Braised rice with egg + pepper//21st April, 2021
Hi, fellow Steemians
I am so delighted to share with you my first post on this honorable community. I am very thankful to @alikoc07 for creating such a platform for food lovers and markers all over the Steem-blockchain, and to @steemitfoods for tutorials on how to efficiently produce quality posts in this esteemed community.
Today I would like to share with you a quick-to-make, yet delicious and preferred lunch by most Ghanaians. This food is normally called in our local dialect twi as "Angwa moo ne kosua". This food is preferred by many as it is easy to prepare and also quick to be ready for one's hunger. Be with me on this as take you through the step-by-step ways of preparing this mouth-watering ghanaian dish.
- Tomatoes
- Sliced Onion
- Pepper
- Eggs
- Oil
- A bowl of rice
- water and salt
- Step 1
Pour a little oil in the utensil on fire and leave it to heat for about a minute or two.
- Step 2
Add the sliced onion into the heated oil on the heat and stir for about 10 seconds and leave it on the fire for the sliced to browning.
- Step 3
After the Onion has browned, you then add your rice and stir for it to be evenly mixed with oil and sliced onion. Leave it on the heat for about 3 to 4 minutes.
- Step 4
When you open the lid of the utensil and you see steam blowing, then you add about 2 cups of water to the food. Then you stir it up and add a little amount of salt. Then you cover it with plain rubber and lid so it can be ready faster. Then about 10 to 15 minutes, your braised rice is ready.

- Step 5
After your braised rice is ready, you moved to fry the eggs which is done by pouring oil into your frying pan. You then crack open the eggs into a bowl, add a little salt then stir the eggs to mix evenly. Then you pour it in the heated oil in the frying pan. As it browning then you turned it for the other side to also brown.

- Step 6
When your eggs fried, you moved to the grinding of your pepper. To make the grinding easy, you grind the onions then add the pepper and grind. When you are done, you then add the tomatoes to reduce the peppermint in the pepper paste at the end.
