PracticalFood: Cooking Irish Stew in a Dutch Oven #weeklyfoodcontest

in SteemFoods4 years ago

I cook Irish Stew in our Dutch oven, over an Open Fire every Sunday.

It’s delicious and we usually have enough to last us a few days

This is my recipe:

1 pound stewing beef cut into 1” chunks
2 cups water
4 cups beef broth
3 lbs red potatoes, quartered Or cubed
1 large onion diced
2 cups carrots peeled, sliced
3 Bay leaves
1 table spoon dried Thyme
3 tea spoons salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 Table spoons Maple syrup
1 cup Guinness beer

Slows Cook over Bonfire for 1 hour .... enjoy.

Hi ;

Irish Stew looks intriguing. I had never seen the Dutch oven before. But you just took a picture of the "cooking stage" of the food you prepared. We cannot see the food in the oven. I recommend that you photograph the state after cooking, how it looks while cooking, the initial state and prepare a post. You can check out other articles, so you can win votes by steemcurator01 and win the contest with an interesting meal. Thank you. :)

Awesome. I’m cooking more this Sunday. Stay tuned.
