Hello dear friends and food lovers, I am back again with another exciting recipe. Today, I prepared ogbono with okra soup.when you combine the two together, you can achieve a very wonderful and delicious soup. You can also prepare them separately but chose to combine them.

Ogbono (Irvingia gabonensis), also known by the names African mango, wild mango and bush mango is a species of trees native to Africa, bearing edible fruits that resemble mangoes. ... Ogbono is mostly valued for its nuts that can be eaten raw or roasted. Butter, margarine can be made by pounding these seeds.

Okra or Okro, Abelmoschus esculentus, known in many English-speaking countries as ladies' fingers or ochro, is a flowering plant in the mallow family. It is valued for its edible green seed pods.

These two are the major ingredients in this my soup. Both 9f them serve as both thicker and they draw making the soup to very wonderful. Let me quickly list out the total ingredients. I just prepared a small soup with few ingredients, toucan choose to increase or add other ingredients according to your pocket an SC the audience you have in mind to feed.

Preparation

I grinded my ogbono in the market and it looked like what you are seeing on the picture below

Then I sliced okra at home

I washed and cut the uziza leaf to look like this

Next, I washed the meat, fish and the periwinkle and put inside the cooking pot. I added pounded fresh pepper, onions Ginger and garlic as wells turmeric, stock cube, and salt. I tuned everything together and placed it on fire but I didn't add any water but the water from the meat.

These pictures explains it all

This will enable the ingredients to sink into the meat, fish and the periwinkle. After a while, when I notice that there is no water again in it, I then added the quantity of water that will be enough for the soup. I allowed to cook very well to soften the meat.

When I was sure that the meat is done and ready, I brought the pot down and turned the stock over to a smaller pot

Then placed the empty pot on fire and added Palm oil to it. I used this me\ns to desolvethe ogbino to avoid lumps

I have added oil. But the oil do not need to be hot.

As soon as I add the oil, I added the ogbono

and stired to desolve

Look at the devolved ogbono

The next thing I did was to turn the stock back to the dissolved ogbono and stired again. I then covered the pot and allow it to boil for 10minutes .

Here is when I was turning the stock into the porn an I stired it

After I allowed it to cook for 10 minutes, this is how it looked like

I then added the okra

I added the leaf

And allowed to cook for like 3 minutes. My soup is ready here as you can see. I checked for salt and other things and saw that they were OK.
