Today and in order to celebrate the 5th anniversary of this prestigious community, we are going to prepare a delicious chocolate velvet cake. WHY THIS NAME? Due to its super soft and delicious texture.
This is my first contest within the community, I am very excited. It is an honor for me to be a part of this incredible and extensive community. Despite the little time I have on the platform, I have learned a lot from you and I hope to continue doing so, I love the cultural exchange that takes place here, it is simply magical. INGREDIENTS FOR THE MIX
- 2 and 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 and 1/2 of sugar
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 100ml of warm water
INGREDIENTS FOR SWISS MERINGE
- 2 Egg whites
- 1/4 cup sugar
MIX PREPARATION MODE
WET MIX
Wet mix 1
♡We start by beating the two eggs with the help of a mixer that can be manual or electric, once we achieve a foamy mixture we proceed to add the sugar and oil, combine these ingredients and reserve.
Wet mix 2
♡Add in the milk, vanilla and vinegar, then you should reserve the mixture.
DRY MIX
♡To prepare it, we use a bowl where we will proceed to sift the wheat flour, cocoa powder, salt, baking soda and cinnamon, mix until homogeneous.
♡Once all the previous steps are completed, the wet mixes are added to the dry mix, alternating between 1 and 2 progressively, until they are exhausted, then the 100 ml of warm water is added until a final mixture is achieved.The result obtained from the preparation is poured into a floured mold and placed in the oven previously heated to 180 ° C for approximately 40 min. This time could vary depending on the capacity of the oven to be used.
♡After this time we will obtain a delicious cake with a super soft texture, you will love it and you will see that you will not be able to stop eating.
PREPARATION OF THE SWISS MERINGE
♡We start by beating the egg whites with a manual or electric mixer until stiff.
♡Finally, add the sugar and beat for a few more minutes. We decorate the cake with this meringue and let's eat!
