Hello Fellow Steemians! I hope you are doing fine. Today, I'd like to share something nutritious and delicious dessert of mine.

We celebrated my nanay's 73rd birthday and she requested that I prepare a vegetable salad for her guests. So, I would like to share with you how I did it.

Filipinos love salads. In fact, on every occassion, you will see salads served to guests. Commonly, we served macaroni salad but this time we decided to make vegetable salad. A healthy, nutritious and delicious salad recipe.

Ingredients

  • Cucumber
  • Tomatoe
  • Lettuce
  • Carrots
  • Mango
  • Grapes
  • Apples
  • Dressing (thousand island)

Steps

After washing the vegetables:

• Peel a thin portion of the cucumbers vertically until the end, then slice the cucumber in uniform sizes.

• Cut the tomatoes. Make sure not too thick nor too thin. Bite sized.

• Cut the lettuce.

• Slice the carrots in thin strips.

• Peel the mangoes, then slice it into cubes.

• Cut the grapes into half.

• Slice the apples into cubes.

When ready to serve, mix the vegetables and the dressing together.

This is a refreshing vegetable salad using all different kinds of vegetable. You can also use whatever you like, but the main things that makes it good are the lettuce and cucumber. But, any of your preference would be fine.
