How are you? I hope you are well.. I have been very careful about nutrition for a while. I quit sweets and convenience foods for my immune system. I'm trying more classic, Mom recipes these days, and the recipes that are very popular in our country...
Today I will be sharing a small menu with you instead of a single recipe. This menu consists of classic recipes that are made very often in Turkey. Rice and Cacık appetizer are a must! Accompanied by roasted chicken with vegetables. I want to go to my recipe right now ..
Ingredients for Baked Chicken with Vegetables;
- chicken drumstick
- Carrot
- Green pepper
- Potato
- Thyme
- Salt
- Tomato paste
The construction phase ;
First of all, we wash the chickens and remove their skin. Then we scratch them with a knife to make them easier to cook. "This way, the insides of the chicken are cooked in a shorter time!" We place the chickens we have drawn in the baking dish.
Then we put the vegetables that we cut into cubes on the meat.
Finally, in a separate bowl, we mix tomato paste, thyme and salt with hot water and get a sauce. We pour this sauce on the chicken and vegetables...
We cover the ready materials with a moistened baking paper, so we prevent the food from burning! We lay the paper on it and cook it in a preheated 200-degree oven for 35-40 minutes on the upside-down setting.
At the end of this time, we take it off the paper and cook it for 15 minutes without paper. (Until it's browned!)
After making sure it's browned, take it out of the oven and serve hot!
Necessary ingredients for rice pilaf;
- Rice
- Brown sugar
- Salt
- Butter
Rice pilaf making phase;
First of all, we wash the rice in cold water until the starch in it flows and set it aside to dry.
While the rice is drying, we put the pot suitable for the stove, put the butter in it and melt it.
Then we throw the dried rice into the oil and fry it for 3-4 minutes.
We add boiling water to the roasted rice in a way that passes a finger.
Finally, add the brown sugar and salt, mix and close the lid.
TIP: Cook the pilaf on low heat, without opening the lid, as a brewing method, it will make it more delicious! This delicious brown sugar will add even more...
Remove the rice from the stove after the water has been drawn, let it rest for *15 minuteswithout opening the lid and serve!
Ingredients for the cacık appetizer;
- Cucumber
- Yoghurt
- Salt
- olive oil
- Mint
Cacık making phase;
First, wash the cucumbers, peel off some of the skins and dice them! Then put yogurt in the bowl and mix it, don't forget to add salt!
Add the cucumbers to the yogurt you mixed and continue mixing.
Finally, add olive oil and mint and leave it in the fridge for at least 20 minutes to cool! Ready to serve after cooling, Bon appetit!
