Chicken potatoes in a clay pot
The food in the earth pot is delicious. In some of our cities, meals prepared in earth pots are taken to large ovens and cooked, but this is not very common in the city where I live. I cook the food I make in a clay pot on the stove. When I first used it, I was worried it would break, but it didn't work out the way I thought it would, and it's been in my kitchen for years. It's become my habit to cook succulents and beans in this kind of pot. Before use, it is necessary to lubricate the pot with solid oil so that the vegetables and meat do not stick. It could be margarine or butter. After washing, I place it on the shelf by closing it upside down on the top of the lid at the suggestion of the seller.
Ingredients for a potato dish
- Chicken
- Potatoes
- Tomato paste
- Oil
- Green pepper
- Red pepper
- Onions
- Garlic
We chop all the ingredients and line the pot in turn. Since the peppers are cooked quickly, putting them on top will prevent them from melting. After placing the vegetables in the pot, we pour gravy sauce thinned with olive oil and water into the urea. I recommend using pepper and tomato paste mixed.
When our pot is ready, we put it on the stove. We turn on the stove first on a fast and then slow heat and leave our food to cook. By the way, I usually cook the food with less water. Too much water negatively affects your taste.
Now it's time to make a nice rice next to the food. After washing the rice, we soak it in water for a while and then strain it. We put oil and barley noodles in the pot and roast them. Then we add the rice and continue the roasting process. The rice should have a bright transparent consistency. I put a glass and a half of water in a glass of rice as a measure. I cook until it drains and cover it with towel paper, leaving it to rest.
For me, salad should be on every table. I'm a salad monster:)
While my rice was cooking, I prepared a salad with green vegetables that I had washed before. I added olive oil and lemon juice and garnished with chilli.
I prepared haydari, a practical appetizer with cottage yogurt mint and garlic. My daughter likes salad and appetizers like this.
Our food looks ready. Now it's time to prepare the table.
I made supangle, which is a ready-made package for dessert.
