Steemfoods: How to make a Cassava Cake - using Fresh Cassava
Hello everyone in steemit world. Today I want to share with you my best cassava cake recipe. It is my first time to coke this cassava cake. I felt fulfilled after I finish baking the cassava cake. Many of us love cooking especially making our recipes. You can prepare this using 3 ingredients only.
Here are the ingredients of cassava cake
1 can of evaporated milk 370 mg
1/2 kg white sugar
1kg fresh cassava
Steps in preparing cassava cake
Step 1:Peel off the fresh cassava skin
Step 2: Scrape the cassava using scraper tools so that the texture is very thin
Step 3: Extract the cassava juice using a strainer or a net. Make sure to get all the juice of the cassava.
Step 4: Add 7 tbsp of white sugar to the cassava
Step 5: Add 1 can of evaporated milk. Then mix all the ingredients. Then set aside.
Step 6: Prepare the pan to caramelize the white sugar. Wait that the sugar is dissolved properly or until the color of the sugar is golden brown.
Step 7: Put the caramelized sugar on the bottom of the cake molder. Then add the cassava mixture.
Step 8: Prepare the cooking steamer and put an amount of water then let it boil.
Step 9: Put the cake molder in the steamer. Then wait for 1hr until the cassava was cooked.
Step 10: Transfer in a serving plate and make a slice of the cake. Then share and enjoy my first cassava cake with your family.
Cassava cake is one of the delicacies here in Cebu Philippines. Most tourist who visits our place wants to taste delicious cassava cake in their store.You can make your own cassava at home using my recipe ingredient. It is easy and affordable to our budget.
