Yummy Adobong Pusit || 03/05/21
Buenas Noches steemit buddies/food lovers.
In Filipino culture, symbols are extremely important like carabao as our national animal, the sampaguita as our national flower, Manny Pacquiao as our pambansang kamao, and milkfish as our national fish. And if I were to choose what is my national dish, it would be adobo.
What is ADOBO?
There are as many different types of adobo, but they all have the same basic ingredients. "Vinegar-braised is the English term of it. Usually, Adobo is cut evenly and mixed with vinegar and soy sauce. The word adobo comes from the Spanish word adobar, which translates to "marinade" or "pickling sauce." If you tried it once, you'll surely look for it every now and then.
And today, I will be sharing with you one of the versions of adobo, the ADOBONG PUSIT. It's a delectable squid dish prepared in the traditional Filipino adobo style.
These are the INGREDIENTS:
1 kl. large-sized squid
3 cloves of garlic
2 pcs. tomotoes
1/4 cup soy sause
1/4 cup vinegar
salt
magic sarap/seasoning
chili
water, cooking oil, onion
How to cook ADOBONG PUSIT?
1. Prepare all the ingredients.
2. Heat a cooking pot.
3. Pour the cooking oil.
4. When the oil is hot enough, saute all the species.
5. Add the squid and wait for the liquid to re-boil. Cook for 5 minutes on low heat.
6. Pour in the soy sauce, vinegar, water. Bring to boil and simmer for 3 minutes.
7. Add salt, and seasoning. Then, stir.
8. Serve immediately after transferring to a serving dish.
And here's the finish output.
