STEEMFOODS : Philippines Very Own INUN-UNAN 4/22/21

Buenas Noches food lovers.

How are you all doing? I'm hoping that you are all doing great. It's been a while since I wasn't able to post my entry in this community. So, right now please allow me to share one of the most cooked dish here in our country- The INUN-UNAN.

INUN-UNAN also known as BOILED PICKLED FISH and is a Filipino dish that uses fish, vinegar, and some spices. The steps in cooking it are easy to follow because it has a simple and easy way in cooking.

Right now, I will be sharing to you one of the Pinoy' Pride dish. So, seat back and relax as you are going to witness how it is prepared.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes


TOTAL MINUTES : 25-30 minutes

INGREDIENTS

A kilo of Fish
2 pcs sliced green chili
1 big sliced onion bulb
5 strands of sliced onion leaves
1 medium sized ginger
3 cloves of crashed garlic
seasoning
A cup of Water

The Process

Step 1:

Prepare all the ingredients needed by washing it properly and slicing it accordingly.

Put the spices inside the caserole followed by the fish. Yes, this is according to my husband, I need to put first the spices before the fish so that the fish will not easily get toasted.

Step 3:

Put the seasoning inside the caserole with the fish and the spices to add taste - magic sarap, salt, vinegar and ajinomoto.

Step 4:

Add a cup of water, to dilute all the seasoning.

Step 5:

Put the caserole in a medium fire and let it boil.

Step 6:

After 15-20 minutes when it is already boiled, put some cooking oil in it. Let it boil again for 2-3 minutes.

Step 7:

After the alloted time, you can taste your "inun-unan", its up to you what taste do you want, if you want to add some salt because you want it a little salty then you can add some.

Teeeeeddddeen! And here's our finished RECIPE. Our very own INUN-UNAN Panlasang Pinoy perfect for a cup of rice.
