Momo from Nepal

If you visit Kathmandu and don't know what Mo:mo is, you'll miss the finest things to eat around. Almost all restaurants in Nepal, precisely in Kathmandu, serve Mo:mo.

A simple white-flour-and-water dough is generally preferred to make the outer momo covering. Sometimes, a little yeast or baking soda is added to give a more doughy texture to the finished product.These days, momo is prepared with virtually any combination of ground meat, vegetables, tofu, paneer cheese, soft chhurpi (local hard cheese) and vegetable and meat combinations

Momo is a type of steamed dumpling with some form of filling. Momo has become a traditional delicacy in Nepal, Tibet and among Nepalese/Tibetan communities in Bhutan, as well as people of Sikkim state and Darjeeling district of India. It is one of the most popular fast foods in Nepal.

Personally for me, this is the most tastiest of all lunch that I'd ever want to.

Local stalls and fast food stall that sells only Mo:mo sells momo of the best taste. While Momo is served with 'Achar' (pickle) in restaurants, local stalls and momo: fast food house sells momo with 'Jhol'. Momo tastes better with Jhol.

Two of the most visible and widely available things in Kathmandu are Temple and Momo: stalls, which is visible everywhere- wherein, 1 in every 10 shops is a momo stall.

It's a lockdown. And, I have nothing but pictures. Momo is such a strong emotion that you feel like breaking the rule and going out to get few pieces, despite knowing the fact that there are no stalls or shops open.

If you happen to visit Nepal anytime, please make sure that you don't miss this food. In Kathmandu, you find it in varieties.
