Ghanaian Fufu and Chicken Light soup Recipe by @farhmade
Hello lovely Steemians. I am much grateful for your encouragement and votes for my previous post. I hope we tried it out at our various homes.
Today’s recipe is on Fufu with chicken light soup. You might be wondering what’s fufu , lol Fufu is simply pounded Yam . Some people decide to add Plantain others to use cassava.
But from the part of Ghana I come from we mostly use Yam.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes
- Onions
- Pepper
- Garden Eggs
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Chicken
- Yam

So after gathering all these ingredients, we start by steaming our chicken,
The chicken is steamed with blended ginger and garlic with some pepper.

Then we peel the yam and boil it

After sometime the yam is ready to undergo the pounding process

The pounding of the yam is done with the help of a mortar and pistil.

After sometime the yam becomes starchy and water is being the it becomes soft .
End product of pounding of the Yam.
Now let’s concentrate on the soup preparation.
The soup is prepared by boiling of the tomatoes, onions garden eggs and pepper.
The boiling process of tomatoes, onions, garden eggs and pepper.
After some minutes it still be well boiled and ready for blending.
So we blend the boiled tomatoes, onions, garden eggs and pepper.
Blended tomatoes, onions, garden eggs and pepper.
So now we pour the blended supplements into the steamed chicken and allow to cook for about 30 minutes.
Our chicken light soup is ready for serving.
Now, I think we are done with everything and ready to serve.
