Recipe Timphan Asoekaya Aceh
This time I want to share with a steemit friend a recipe for traditional Acehnese food that is well known throughout the Timphan Asoe Kaya archipelago. Typical food is a favorite menu at various events, both in welcoming religious events such as Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as well as parties.
Ingredients:
Glutinous rice flour
Ground pumpkin fruit
Chicken eggs
Vanilla
Coconut milk
Pandan leaves
Young banana leaves
Srikaya jam
Salt to taste
Steps to create
Clean the ground pumpkin fruit and cut it into small pieces then cook it by adding salt, coconut milk, vanilla and pandanus leaf water that has been blended.
After the pumpkin is cooked, let it cool then mix the cooked pumpkin with glutinous rice flour and eggs.
For jam, beat the egg until it expands and put it in the pan, add the pandan leaves that have been blended with coconut milk and sugar, vanilla, salt, melted cornstarch, then cook over low heat, stirring constantly until dry.
Then round the dough and flatten it on a banana leaf that has been smeared with cooking oil so that it is not sticky and then filled with srikaya jam.
The next step is the dough is folded and rolled. When finished wrapped, then put in a steamer and steam until cooked.
When cooked, Timphan asoe kaya is lifted and ready to be served and eaten.
