Apam Cake, Acehnese Traditional Cake
It's been more than three days that I haven't shared a new recipe with you food lovers, without much further ado in this post I will try to share a new recipe with you.
The name of the cake is Apam, this is a traditional Acehnese cake that has been passed down from generation to generation.
The process of making Apam is also very simple, it can even be said to be very easy to process. The materials needed are also very easy to get.
What is Required for Make it?
- Rice flour
- Sugar
- Grated
- coconut
- Hot water
How to Make It
1. Cut the coconut into two parts
2. Grate coconut until smooth. Here I still use the traditional coconut grater, but if you don't have it, you can use a machine.
3. Mix everything in one bowl, if you use one coconut then you have to use 2 cups of rice flour, then add one glass of hot water then sugar, then stir until it thickens.
4. If all the ingredients have been stirred, the next step is to heat the vessel and apply a little oil on vessel so it doesn't stick. Then pour the ingredients into a hot vessel, pour evenly then cover briefly for about 30 seconds.
5.If it has been 30 seconds, see first if the Apam has started to dry, if it means that it is a sign that the Apam is ripe.
