The Jollof Rice
In Nigeria, rice is a staple food found in every home. It is like a National badge to have and eat jollof rice, particularly as it is called 'party jollof rice'.
In every party in Nigeria rice is always served. The rice served is usually the party jollof rice and in some cases there is an addition of fried rice (rice cooked with vegetables such as carrots, green beans, and green peppers).
In every party, if you haven't served jollof rice, then your party is lacking. Nigerians love the Jollof Rice so much that we sometimes have social media battle with Ghanaians who think their version of the Jollof Rice is better (I mean, like seriously).
For me fried rice was the way I prepared rice on Christmas and the Jollof you see here was the new year dish. Bon Appetit!!!
