Introduction

Hello 👋 there, esteem steemians,

I salute y'all in this great Community. It's another wonderful week for us to engage ourselves in yet another challenge again and this week's challenge is all about talking about our favorite pizza recipe. Without any waste of time, I proceed with my entry

My first taste of the pizza was last year in June. I When to a restaurant with my friends and they brought us the menu paper. I when through it and discovered that the restaurant was having pizza since it's a restaurant specializing in preparing pizza... Since I was always hearing about pizza for some time, I then decided to use the opportunity to taste it. So I ordered pizza.. guest what?? It was extremely very expensive because it cost 7,500 FCFA (about 55 STEEM). However, I was eager and anxious to taste this pizza since it was my first time.

So I ordered for one place and behold 😲 when I tasted it, I was like I can eat plus the plate🤣. Meeeeeeerde, I couldn't imagine something could taste excellently like this. It was chicken pizza. From that day henceforth, I can say I have eaten pizza at least more than 5 times. Since it is too expensive, I limited my rate of eating it though I always go to this restaurant once a while to buy pizza

In terms of carrying out home preparation of this pizza, It's quite unfortunate that some of us are still struggling to build ourselves financially and where I live, we don't have a microwave oven or pre-heated oven, and fine raw cheese is always very difficult. So it's extremely very difficult for me to carry out practical preparation of pizza at home

Since the contest is telling us to either prepare our favorite pizza or share our favorite pizza recipe that we bought from a restaurant, It's quite unfortunate that I can't prepare it because of its demands coupled with the fact that I haven't prepared it before.

I opted to go to my favorite restaurant which is located at the Sonac street in Bamenda Town and the restaurant's name is ROMZ

This restaurant is specialized mostly in pizza and ice cream and it's the only place where I always go and eat pizza. It's been more than 3 months since I last ate pizza at this restaurant because of how the price suddenly increased from 7500 FCFA to 8,000 FCFA ( 55 to 60 STEEM). This price increase is as a result of this ongoing Anglophone war. The war has caused a lot of havoc as prices of all goods and services have drastically increased

Since I couldn't prepare my favorite Pizza which is the chicken pizza, I opted to go to this pizza restaurant so that I could use the opportunity to participate in this Contest, but to my greatest dismay 😱😱, the separative(amba boys) had planned out ghost town operation in the English speaking regions of Cameroon so as to be able to disrupt the National Youth day celebration on the 20th of May which was yesterday. The ghost town was planned for a period of 6 days starting from Monday 16 to Saturday 21 May which has been very effective as of now because as I speak, we have been indoors since Monday. The Ghost town will be ending today Saturday at 11:59 pm. This ghost town's aimed was to disrupt the National Youth day celebration which was yesterday so that the English-speaking regions in Cameroon shouldn't participate in it. Enfact, all official days are usually considered Ghost days in my locality. As I speak now, all businesses, churches, schools, markets, and shops are all inactive since Monday. Even movement is restricted, we can only move from one neighborhood to another but can't move far distances because we might be caught by either the military or the separative fighters.

Why did I bring this up?? I brought this up because I want to say that I couldn't fulfill any of the two tasks which were either to prepare our favorite pizza or go to a restaurant and buy it and then promote it and I couldn't do it since we are observing ghost town at this present moment

However, despite these two failures, It couldn't still stop me from participating in this contest as I had to contact one of my friends that sell Pizza, She is a Student at the University of Bamenda. I ask her how she always carry out her business effectively because she is still a student and this might make her not to be punctual and effective. She told me everything is under control as she always carry out her business very effectively. After talking to her, she sent some recipes she always prepares. I later found out that she also does home and office delivery because she is a specialist In pizza and sharwama despite being a university student

I was quite terrified by her price as she said she sells pizza for 5,000 FCFA plus 500 FCFA which is altogether 5,500 FCFA ( 35 STEEM plus 4 STEEM = 39 STEEM). I was like woow 🤗 she is very cheap oooh because I always buy pizza at ROMZ restaurant for 7,500 FCFA ( 55 STEEM] instead of 5,500 FCFA ( 35 STEEM)

She even sent me some recipes in a video format which she always does for home and office delivery and it looked really good and delicious

Since She lives in Bambili and I live in Town, we then arranged that after when this ghost town is over, she will then bring me one place of pizza for 5,500 FCFA (55 STEEM).

I'm glad that this challenging contest has made me know another pizza supplier that is cheap and affordable as compared to where I usually go and buy it at ROMZ restaurant. This will ration my rate of spending whenever I want to eat pizza because hers is relatively cheap and quite affordable.

I then later ask her about the preparation of pizza and if she usually faces any challenges. She told me that she doesn't face challenges when preparing it apart from always getting raw cheese which is usually very expensive and scarce

Conclusion

As you can see guys, I think I did my best in other to participate in this contest to keep track of participating in all contests moving. Despite all the odds as I had little chance of participating due to my Country's present condition as we are facing a serious 6-days luck down which is considered Ghost days as no business, schools, markets, and movement are halted and restricted during this period, I'm glad I could still use another strategy in effectively carrying out this task
