Hello everyone, this is Manas (@brahmaputra) from Guwahati, Assam, India. Well, when I found the Contest Announcement post trending in my Feed, I loved the concept and immediately went through the whole post. So I completed the verification process yesterday in SteemFoods, thanks to @alikoc07. So here's my Contest Entry....

A STEEM COFFEE SHOP IN MY CITY

Guwahati, the gateway to North East India, is an emerging economic hub of the country. With many renowned MNCs from different sectors already having set foot in Guwahati, the 21st century looks quite promising for Assam's capital city located on the bank of the Brahmaputra river.

Moreover, as the popularity of cryptocurrency and blockchain social media platform Steemit.com increases day by day what better way then to open an outlet of STEEMCOFFEE shop in my hometown Guwahati. The day this becomes a reality I will be so happy to have participated in this contest. Infact I want to pitch the think tanks @steemitfoods to establish their outlet here and I would extend all possible help and cooperation.

PROPOSED LOCATION OF THE OUTLET

Having born and brought up in Guwahati, I can suggest of the best locations for the STEEM COFFEE shop with details.

LOCATION 1:

My first choice would be the ever busy G.S. (Guwahati-Shillong) Road stretch from Paltan Bazar to Ganeshguri. This area is buzzing with shopping malls, restaurants, business establishments, government offices, news channel offices, private education/coaching centres etc. Moreover there are guest houses of other North-Eastern states located in this stretch. Also there's convenience of transportation to and from the Guwahati Railway Station and Guwahati Airport.

So the STEEM COFFEE SHOP can be established at any of the following locations on the GS ROAD stretch, viz. Paltan Bazar, Lachit Nagar, Ulubari, Bhangagarh, ABC, Post Office, Christian Basti and Walford/Ganeshguri.

LOCATION 2:

My second choice of location for the STEEM COFFEE SHOP would be the GNB (Gopinath Bordoloi) Road. This stretch runs from Reserve Bank/Railway Station stoppage to Chandmari stoppage.

In this stretch, one would find prestigious higher educational institutions of Guwahati, college hostels, Newspaper agencies and business establishments in particular.

Again, there's convenience of transportation to and from the Guwahati Railway Station and Guwahati Airport.

Uzan Bazar, Ambari, Guwahati Club, Silpukhuri and Chandmari are some of the ideal locations for establishing an outlet of the STEEM COFFEE SHOP in this area.

LOCATION 3:

This is the RG (Radha Govinda Baruah) Road stretch from Ganeshguri to Chandmari. This is my third choice in the list. This stretch is still in the developing phase according to me. Also there is space and resources constraints to some extent. Transportation convenience is well and good but there may be problems of flash floods during rainy season.

In this stretch, the ideal locations for the setting up a STEEM COFFEE SHOP would be Ganeshguri, Nursery, State Zoo stoppage (opposite Spanish Gardens residential complex), Guwahati Commerce College point and Chandmari.

About the STEEM COFFEE SHOP's exclusive Guwahati outlet

My idea of the STEEM COFFEE SHOP are as follows --

• to work as a nodal branch and popularize STEEMIT social media where people can share original content and earn rewards.
• to work as an information center for newcomers; regional representatives to assist newbies in all ways possible.
• to popularize STEEM as a medium of exchange.
• to stage regional meet up programs from time to time.
• regional representatives can come together and create a road map for enhancing engagement.
• also serve the region as a popular cafeteria.
• to promote culture, tourism, food and ethnic traditions of the region on Steemit platform.
• provide humanitarian aid in times of need as per convenience.

WHAT'S ON THE MENU

For the Guwahati edition of the STEEM COFFEE SHOP, I have curated a menu as well. This has been done after brainstorming through the most popular and in-demand beverages around the globe and in the region.

I have also included a few snacks and other food items to eat alongside while sipping the brew.

So here's how the MENU would look like ---

REASONABLE PRICING

The items listed on the Menu have been priced at a low to moderate cost. For e.g. A Cafe Americano priced at 200 INR would cost about 2.74 USD = 5.37 STEEM (as on 24 May 2021, 4:37 PM IST)

MODE OF PAYMENT

People shall be encouraged to pay in STEEM or SBD (STEEM DOLLARS) as far as possible. However there shall also be the provision of paying in fiat currency so that people don't miss out on the fun of learning about Steemit over a cup of coffee.
