HOW I MADE MY EGUSI SOUP @biyimide

Good evening fellow chefs
How was your day?
Knowing fully well that food is necessary for survival and so the consumption of good and healthy food cannot be underestimated.

I'll be sharing with you all how I made this local soup, hopefully it helps someone's cooking skill and also allows others try out new food.

The ingredients was gotten from a local market because they sell fresh goods and GMO free goods.

EGUSI SOUP is a local soup commonly found among the Igbo and Yoruba tribe of Nigeria.
EGUSI also known as melon is a soup gotten from melon, it's nutritious and it's combination with vegetables gives vitamins.

This soup is not so expensive and therefore can be made and consumed by both the average and rich calibers.

INGREDIENTS

Grounded Egusi seed
Fresh pepper
Onions
Smoked fish
Palm oil
Locust beans
Pumpkin leaves and water leaves
Seasoning
Garlic
Ginger
Salt

PROCEDURE

The first step to making this soup is to wash your hands and dry.
Ensure you have clean utensils

Then put on the heat a clean dry pot with a slightly bleached palm oil.

Add your sliced onion, pepper, fish and locust beans and seasoning.

Allow it cook a bit.

Mix your grounded egusi with little water to form a paste in other to leaven all lumps.

Then made the egusi into ball to allow it cook

Cover for 5mins

Then add the pumpkin leaves and waterleaves
Adjust your seasoning to ensure the taste is perfect.

This is the outcome.

I had this meal for dinner and trust me it's a taste that you would want to witness
