MY RECIPE ON HOW TO PREPARE DELICIOUS GARRI AND ERU: 29/05/2021

Greetings my steemit friends. I am so happy to make my first post here in steemfoods. Cooking is one of my best. I find pleasure doing that. Today I will be sharing with you how to cook Garri and Eru. One of my favorite.

Eru is a meal that originates from the southwest region of Cameroon. It is a wild plant that is harvested from the forest in Cameroon. It is called Ukazi or Afang in Nigeria. In Cameroon, Eru can be eaten with water fufu, Garri or kum Kum. It depends on what is available at the moment.
Follow me to the kitchen let's start the cooking. 😋

Ingredients

Procedure

-Wash your meat and put on the fire in a pot to boil
-Into the boiling meat, slice in your Onion to give it a nice sent
-Wash your already sliced Eru and drain out the water
-Whash your already sliced Waterleaf and let it to drain.
-Into an empty pot on the fire, add in your sliced Waterleaf.

-keep stirring the water leaf till it is soft. Don't add any water into the pot because the Waterleaf contains alot of water already
-Then add in your Eru and stir. Allow it to boil and to be soft.
-keep stirring as it cooks so that it doesn't burn and to get a homogeneous mixture.

-Add in your seasoning to your own taste.
-Add in your pepper
-Add in your Red oil when the water is almost dry.

Cover the pot and let the oil get hot in the Eru before you Stir. This will make the oil float and the Eru shiny.
-Stir again and taste if everything is ok.
-You can now take the pot off the fire when the smell of the oil has disappeared.
-It is now ready to be served.

Wait, it is the garri for me ooo, it really been a long time seen yellow garri and how it is moulded perfectly.

My sister, your pot of soup is yummy. Although I am not a lover of swallow but I wouldn't mind tasting the food just for the assorted my eyes are popping out of the socket for.

Weldone sis, the food is sumptuous. 😋
