See How I Made This Delightful Fruit Salad🥗 // Special Recipe Series by @afunkycares // Delight 1️⃣

Hello chefs of Steemit foods 🥰,

Today, I will be sharing with you all how I made this delightful bowl of fruit salad ☺️. I have been craving for fruit salad, so I decided to answer this craving.

Fruit Salad

Right before I proceed, I will want to welcome you to my "Special Recipe Series". I thought of creating a series of my recipes and sharing them with you here, you will also find them resteemed on my blog. Feel free to visit.

I will be sharing from time to time, food recipes, drink recipes, cake recipes and pastry recipes😋 that I prepare. So, watch out for this space😊.

Today, the first recipe tagged "Delight 😍1️⃣" which I will be starting with is the nourishing fruit salad I made.

THE FRUITS I USED

For this fruit salad, I used

  • A big sized watermelon 🍉
  • A medium sized pineapple 🍍
  • Two apples 🍏🍏
  • A coconut (just small portion)
  • Bananas (as desired)

PREPARATION

  • First, I Washed each fruit thoroughly with water before cutting.

  • Next, I divide the watermelon 🍉 in half, then divide the half again. Peeled the back, chopping off all white ( you may prefer to leave the white).
    Then cut horizontally and vertically, all down. You have the watermelon in cubes.

I eventually used a quarter,it was enough for the bowl of salad I prepared.

  • For the pineapple 🍍, I cut off both ends. Peeled round to remove the tough skin. Don't forget to peel off those eye spots too. Then I divide into long sticks, removing the core. I cut the pineapple into triangles.

  • I cut the apple in halves, removing the core too. I cut into triangles. You can cut into any sizes or shapes you desire.

  • I broke the coconut 🥥 ,removed it from the bark and rinse thoroughly (I drank the coconut milk). Then I cut a small portion into cubes.

  • I simply peeled and cut the banana in thick round slices.

Now, we are done with preparing. It's time to lay our fruit salad.


LAYERING AND PRESENTATION

  • First, I layed some watermelon,followed by pineapple, apple.

  • Second layer: watermelon, pineapple, apple, banana, coconut

  • Third layer: watermelon, pineapple, watermelon, apple, coconut

  • Fourth layer: watermelon, pineapple, watermelon, apple, coconut, banana, coconut.

Hint: I layed the watermelon more number of times because it was the most abundant while banana & coconut was layed towards the end, cause they are less.

CONCLUSION

Fruit Salad is a healthy dish everyone should add to their diet. The health benefits are amazing.
Your fruit salad should not be limited to the fruits I have used. You can combine as many fruits of your choice in a healthy manner.
