Flux Capacitor Beer Saturday

I'm going back to the future, well the past actually, but you know what I mean! The Masters comes around but once a year so another beer and golf post will just have to be done!

I'm just having a couple of glasses of red wine this weekend, so dipping into the archive of last weekend for this very solid, very tasty American style IPA.

O Brother Brewing The Chancer American style IPA

What they say

> The Chancer is our American Pale Ale. A bold and fresh one. Floral on the nose, with fresh, herbal notes and grapefruit, citrus from the beautiful Cascade hops we use in the boil and again in the dry hop. 5.4% ABV.

Can Art

For me this one is slick but not arty. There's something cool about the black can and the blue works very well with it. Who came up with it has an eye for design.

I think I prefer the mad looking cans though with more character and more of that real abstract art or crazy imagination look. To be fair I've definitely seen worse.

Thoughts

This is exceedingly drinkable and that rich hoppy aroma hits you right after you open the can. A goldilocks moment of olfactory joy for the nostrils - just right.

I poured it into my usual beer tasting glass. I really need to approach Martin's off license about my beer reviews and you never know he might sponsor me beers to taste! How sweet would that be!

A nice head formed upon pouring with decent retention. The initial taste showed up suitable bitterness, with tropical flavours arriving on the pallet next. Balanced well with lighter biscuity overtones giving it a nice overall balance that made it work well. I had second helpings and third, then switched it up. Overall, I'd recommend trying this one.
