Hola querida comunidad de abejas laboriosas y trabajadoras de la colmena; en el día de hoy quiero mostrarles como las niñas y yo realizamos la construcción de uno de los juegos tradicionales más populares de Venezuela; se trata del famoso Gurrufio.

Hello dear community of hard-working bees and hive workers; today I want to show you how the girls and I carried out the construction of one of the most popular traditional games in Venezuela; it is the famous Gurrufio.

Materiales

1.- Pabilo o cordón
2.- Una chapa de refresco
3.- Martillo o una roca
4.- Clavos
5.- Tijera

1.- Wick or cord
2.- A soda plate
3.- Hammer or a rock
4.- Nails
5.- Scissors

El procedimiento es muy sencillo y fácil de realizar; lo primero que haremos es tomar la chapa o tapa de refresco y con el martillo o la roca la machucamos hasta aplanarla hasta darle una forma circular. Una vez hecho este procedimiento tomamos nuevamente el martillo y un clavo y le realizaremos dos agujeros a la chapa.

The procedure is very simple and easy to perform; the first thing we will do is take the sheet or cap of soda and with the hammer or rock we will crush it until it is flattened to a circular shape. Once this procedure is done, we take again the hammer and a nail and we will make two holes in the sheet.

Ahora tomamos una cinta métrica y medimos el pabilo o el cordón de aproximadamente ochenta centímetros de logitud ( 80 cm ); luego que cortamos el cordón lo hacemos pasar por cada uno de los agujeros y se unen haciendo un nudo en ambos extremos del cordón quedando la chapa en el centro.

Now we take a tape measure and we measure the wick or the cord of approximately eighty centimeters of length (80 cm); after we cut the cord we make it pass through each one of the holes and they are united making a knot in both ends of the cord being the plate in the center.

Ahora tomamos con las manos entre los dedos el cordón y el juego consiste en hacer oscilar o dar vueltas la chapa muchas veces de manera que esta de vueltas sobre el eje que se forma al templar el pábilo o cordón entre las manos produciendo a demás un peculiar sonido cuando loa cercamos a nuestros oídos. Las niñas se divirtieron mucho y así juntas construimos un Gurrufío. Gracias por tu lectura de parte de la maestra Yusmi.

Now we take the cord with our hands between our fingers and the game consists of making the plate oscillate or turn many times so that it turns on the axis that is formed when the wick or cord is tempered between the hands producing a peculiar sound when we close it to our ears.
