Flower and Plant Doodles in Watercolour
Hi everyone! I hope that you are doing well and safe. Yesterday, I made some flower and plant doodles using watercolour and glitter pens. I thought that they turned out cute and colourful so I though of sharing it here.
Tools and Materials
- Buncho Watercolour
- A waterbrush
- A black gel pen
- Glitter pens in various colours
- A sheet of printer paper
Method
I used many colours and just painted a few rectangles in watercolour. I mixed some of the colours to create a gradient effect. It was a fun experimentation.
I did not plan this artwork and just did it randomly as I wanted to play around with my watercolour. I didn't even use a proper watercolour paper and just used a sheet of printer paper instead. This is actually the excess of a printer paper where I have already used half of it for something else.
I kept the drawings simple. I just used a black gel pen to create them in each of the rectangles.
I used a few colours for this plant, which are red, orange, yellow and gold. I tried to blend some of them but the blending was not going well.
After the 'test pattern', I did more drawings on all the other paint rectangles using the same black gel pen. Some were large leaves, some flowers and a few were just branches to which I will be adding some petal bulbs using gel pens.
I coloured in all of the drawings using glitter pens. I think that they look a lot better with a pop of colour now.
This is a closer look of the top half of the drawings.
Here's the bottom half of the drawings. I think they look better when they are up close because the drawings look bigger. I plan on cutting each of them and then using them as stickers on my planner and journal.
Thank you for dropping by and I hope that you have a great weekend ♥
Nice. if you make them separate on each page then you can make them like painting frames
Thank you deepu. That is a cool idea!
