Hey. I would like to share with you the process of drawing a new portrait. I am drawing an Indian guy. The portrait is already ready, dries up after varnishing. I will take a photo of the finished work when the painting is completely dry.

I paint with acrylics.

I also paint with watercolors, but much less often. In general, my work began with watercolors, but then I switched to acrylic paints. I like that they paint pictures on canvas with acrylic paints. The picture looks more solid on canvas than on paper. But I can't say that I don't like watercolor paintings.

The first step is always to sketch with a pencil. I very rarely paint pictures at once with paints. Even if this is the simplest picture, for example, just a sunset, I still make notes with a pencil.

Next, I work with paints. I mix the desired colors on the palette and transfer them to the canvas. I work with several brushes, of different sizes, the smallest and largest I have, still medium. I cannot paint a picture with one brush. When painting the eyes I use a brush size 00, when I paint the background then I use large brushes.
