I just/only grab some popcorn (or some other food), and watch the entire show/drama. :)
Some people are panicking about Steemit (or even about the Steem blockchain) like hell. :D
Steemit is already dead since long months, so do not worry about that.
Steemit has been killed by its own users. I think that the Steem blockchain will have a good future because of the good dApps on it, but we will see.
Of course people will panic. Maybe not people like me, who have invested a minimal amount of money and are just hardcore content creators. People like me don't have much to worry or lose in comparison to those who have invested humongous amounts of money and not to mention have built projects with blood and sweat. There is no justification to undermining the pain this incident has caused to many.
Steemit is dead? Was dead? Prove it? Steemit has always been the top dApp irrespective of its UI or the system. Matter of in the last few months steemit has been in the front line of development and improved communications making sure to do as much as possible with the community and also delve into damage control.
Steemit was never killed, rather it became the stepping stone of what steem blockchain is today. It gave birth to different front ends, ideas like SPS and communtiies and tribes.
Yes, the dApps will play a major role, but without the community steem is nothing. A community that fights together, stays together
It is already proven. See the statistics: There are more than 1.3 million Steem accounts, but nowadays there are only 20-25 000 daily active Steem blockchain users, which is constantly decreasing since a long time, nowadays there are 7-10 0000 posts per day, but the average number of comments per post is only 1-2, and most of these comments are bot comments. And even if the people are writing comments, they are often write bot-like and/or spam-like comments to get attention to their own posts. Most of the Steem blockchain users are selfish and greedy. They focus only on their posts, but they do not care about other people's posts. The real human interaction is rare on the Steem blockchain, especially on Steemit. And Steemit is marketed/considered as a social network. This is why I say Steemit is dead. It is doomed by its own users.
