Good afternoon dear gems community, last weekend I had the opportunity to go to the countryside, visit some places and go for a walk, so today I bring you a very pleasant experience for me, because I visited a pineapple farm, and I want to share with you everything I learned about it

Buenas tardes apreciada comunidad de gems, el fin de semana pasado tuve la oportunidad de ir al campo, visitar algunos sitios y salir a pasear, por lo cual hoy les traigo una experiencia muy agradable para mi, pues visite un cultivo de piñas, y quiero compartir con ustedes todo lo que aprendí sobre el.

The pineapple or pineapple as many know it, is a native fruit of South America, there are different kinds of pineapples, for example sativus, comosus and lucidus, which differ in basic aspects, for example some have seeds inside, others do not, and also in size, shape, and stem.
The pineapple of the comosus type, is the one that I will talk about, since it is the one that my family cultivates and of which I have information.

La piña o ananá como muchos la conocen, es una fruta nativa de América del Sur, hay distintas clases de piñas, por ejemplo de sativus, comosus y lucidus, que se diferencian en aspectos básicos, por ejemplo algunas poseen semillas en su interior, otras no, y también en el tamaño, forma, y tallo.
La piña del tipo comosus, es de la cual les hablare, ya que es la que mi familia cultiva y de la cual tengo información.

The plant that gives this fruit is green, but in summer it can turn red, or even if the plant is very old. At the tips of the leaves it usually has small thorns, and as it grows the thorns change colour, until they become red.
In the middle of this, leaves are growing, and the first ones are dying, this process is repeated until the stem is thick enough to produce pineapples.

La planta que da este fruto, es de un color verde, pero en época de verano puede tornarse roja, o también si la planta es muy vieja. En las puntas de las hojas suele tener pequeñas espinas, y a medida que va creciendo las espinas cambian de color, hasta tornarse rojas.
En el medio de esta, van creciendo hojas, y las primeras van muriendo, ese proceso se repite hasta que el tallo es lo suficientemente grueso para poder producir piñas.

The children or seeds of pineapple can last even 90 days without being planted (My father checked, because at one time he also cultivated pineapples, this plant usually dried up but when planted and with a little water it can come back to life), especially this type of pineapple, which is adapted to the arid climate where my family grows, with few periods of rain usually gives crops all year round. But if in any case, there is some rain, the pineapples are usually harvested in larger sizes and with better quality.
In the center of the plants grows a stem where the fruit begins to develop, it starts being a red flower, and with the passing of the days, its color changes to green and size increases.

Los hijos o semillas de piña pueden durar incluso 90 días sin ser plantados (comprobado por mi padre que en un tiempo también cultivo piñas, esta planta suele secarse pero al plantarla y con un poco de agua puede volver a la vida), sobre todo este tipo de piña, que se adapto al clima árido donde cultiva mi familia, con pocos periodos de lluvia suele dar cosechas todo el año. Pero si en algún caso, hay un poco de lluvia, las piñas suelen ser cosechadas de mayor tamaño y con mayor calidad.
En el centro de las plantas crece un tallo donde la fruta comienza a desarrollarse, comienza siendo una flor de color rojo, y con el pasar de los días, su color cambia a verde y tamaño incrementa.

Many factors can influence the size of this fruit, it can be the fertilizer, the type of soil, or the pest so to speak, the fruit can contract beetles and these will not let it grow. But in either case, the pineapple will be smaller in size, but will still ripen and turn yellow.
In other cases, it will continue to grow and maintain its dark vede color, it can even be seen as black, this until it stops growing and ripens to yellow, where it can have a weight up to 1kg.

Muchos factores pueden influir en el tamaño de esta fruta, puede ser el abono, el tipo de tierra, o la plaga por así decirlo, puede que la fruta contraiga escarabajos y estos no la dejen crecer. Pero en cualquiera de los casos, la piña sera de un tamaño menor, pero de igual manera se va a madurar y se tornara de color amarillo.
En otros casos, seguirá creciendo y mantendrá su color vede oscuro, incluso puede verse como color negro, esto hasta que deje de crecer y se madure hasta tornarse amarilla, donde puede tener un peso hasta de 1kg.

Observen un poco la vista sobre algunas algunas plantas, aproximadamente 70.000-90.000 plantas de piña.

To be able to extract the fruit from the plant, it must be carefully pulled, as seeds grow around the pineapple that can be used again for another, younger crop. If they are not cut properly, the offspring could die and they would not be usable.

Para poder extraer la fruta de la planta, se debe halar con cuidado, ya que al rededor de la piña crecen semillas que pueden utilizarle nuevamente para otro cultivo mas joven. Si no son cortadas adecuadamente, los hijos podrían morir y no serian utilizables.

Furrows of approximately 1m are left so that the pineapples can be cut by hand, they are stacked, and another person passes through the furrow to collect the fruits to take them to the truck where they will be transported.

Se dejan surcos de 1m de distancia aproximadamente para poder cortar las piñas a mano, se apilan, y otra persona pasa por el surco a recoger las frutas para llevarlas al camión donde serán transportadas.

At the end of the day, we tried some pineapples, and I must say that they had a very sweet and rich taste, my cousins gave me a couple of green pineapples, to make a pineapple candy which I will soon share with you.

Al final del día probamos algunas piñas, y debo decir que tenían un sabor muy dulce y rico, mis primos me dieron un par de piñas verdes, para hacer una dulce de piña el cual compartiré pronto con ustedes.
