Wow! To equate slavery with bondage is overly simplistic. Do you think the first slaves brought to America in 1619 couldn't think? Do you believe they chose to be captured, put on a ship and transported to a foreign land? Freedom is not an accommodation.

      They didn't choose to be captured. They chose to die rather than be subjected to slavery in a foreign land.
