Pasta in Red Sauce
The taste of adequately cooked fusilli and tomato sauce is a heavenly match. From the tomato sauce to the onion and garlic, the black pepper, herbs, and bay leaves add their own unique taste, making this pasta in red sauce a never-ending experience.

- For 2 quantities
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups cooked Fusili
- 2 cups lightly boiled and finely chopped tomatoes
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 bay leaves
- 7 to 8 pepper
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 1/2 tsp finely chopped garlic
- 1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum
- salt to taste
- 3 tbsp tomato puree
- 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 1/2 tsp dry red chilli flakes
- 1/2 tsp sugar (optional)
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
Method:
Heat olive oil in a broad non-stick pan, add bay leaves and black pepper and sauté on a medium flame for 30 seconds.
Add onion and garlic and sauté on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
Add capsicum and sauté on a medium flame for another 1-2 minutes.
Add the tomatoes and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
Remove the bay leaves and discard them.
Add the tomato puree, tomato ketchup, oregano, chili flakes and sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
Add the cream and mix well and cook on a medium flame for another 1-2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
Add the fusilli and mix gently and cook on a medium flame for another 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
Serve immediately with garlic bread, garnished with fresh cream and cheese.
