Viviendo cada día: Jugando con agua al sol / Living every day: Playing with water in the sun

La vida es una gran aventura, que cada quien escribe día a día, y lo que queda plasmado siempre va a depender del lente a través del que la mires. Lo que ya está escrito, no se puede borrar, así como no sé puede escribir lo que aún no ha tenido lugar. Nuestro momento es el ahora, ese tiempo finito en el que podemos ser y que muchas veces dejamos ir.

Life is a great adventure, that each one writes day by day, and what remains will always depend on the lens through which you look at it. What is already written cannot be erased, just as I do not know how to write what has not yet taken place. Our moment is now, that finite time in which we can be and that many times we let go.

Aprovechando lo que tenemos, para recrear lo que queremos que sea nuestro día, entre tantas cosas, se nos ocurrió jugar con agua en nuestro pequeño patio. La idea era inventar un juego afuera para que mis hijos tomaran sol. Todos los días es una odisea hacer que salgan a jugar, no les agrada mucho exponerse al sol, pero es necesario para su salud. Así que mi invento de esta vez, fue éste, y afortunadamente nos divertimos bastante.

Taking advantage of what we have, to recreate what we want our day to be, among so many things, we thought of playing with water in our little yard. The idea was to invent a game outside for my children to sunbathe. Every day it is an odyssey to make them go out and play, they don't like to expose themselves to the sun, but it is necessary for their health. So my invention this time was this, and luckily we had a lot of fun.

Tal como cuando vamos a la playa o a la piscina, nos pusimos nuestros trajes de baño; yo me reía de mí cuando me estaba colocando el protector solar y el bronceador... sol es sol, donde quiera que esté, jajaja.

Just like when we go to the beach or the pool, we put on our bathing suits; I was laughing at me when I was putting on my sunscreen and suntan lotion... sun is sun, wherever it is, hahaha.

Después de mi ritual de cubrirme todo el cuerpo con aquellas lociones, finalmente salimos al patio.

After my ritual of covering my whole body with those lotions, we finally went out to the patio.

Llenamos una ponchera de agua y con unos envases empezamos a lanzarnos agua, como si fuera carnaval. Nos reíamos de todo... las cosas simples, en armonía y con amor, suelen ser las más satisfactorias. El hecho de estar juntos, sanos y en nuestro hogar, es más de los que muchos tienen.

We filled a punch bowl with water and with some containers we started throwing water at each other, as if it was carnival. We laughed about everything... the simple things, in harmony and with love, are usually the most satisfactory. The fact of being together, healthy and in our home, is more than many have.

También aprovechamos de jugar pelota y además hacer algunos ejercicios. Yo me excedí con las sentadillas y amanecí adolorida. Pero cuando entramos a casa, ya a la hora del almuerzo, estábamos recargados de energía y vitalidad.

We also took advantage of playing ball and doing some exercises. I overdid the squats and woke up in pain. But when we went home, already at lunchtime, we were recharged with energy and vitality.

La emoción de mis niños en cada experiencia que compartimos, es un regalo de la vida. Agradezco a Dios que ellos sepan valorar y disfrutar cada momento, por muy sencillo que sea. Agradezco por el amor y la alegría con que llenan mi vida. Siempre he pensado que ellos son la mejor prueba de que Dios me ama.

The excitement of my children in every experience we share is a gift of life. I thank God that they know how to value and enjoy every moment, however simple it may be. I am grateful for the love and joy with which they fill my life. I have always thought that they are the best proof that God loves me.

Y en cuarentena o no, vivir es una gran aventura, en la que nuestra dicha viene de adentro. Sólo dentro de nosotros está lo que puede hacernos felices, afuera sólo hay distracción.

And quarantined or not, living is a great adventure, in which our joy comes from within. Only within us is what can make us happy, outside there is only distraction.
