Potato Toasties Recipe!

Sandwiches, according to me, are the best snack. They are tasty, filling and at the same time can be made super healthy. There are so many different ways you can make a sandwich, you can use different breads, different sauces and spices and can have amazing sandwiches in no time. You can also experiment with how you want to have them – grilled, plain or tawa warm.

Today I will share with you a new sandwich recipe – Potato Toasties. These are made with Potato as key ingredients and Onion, Curry Leaves, Mustard Seeds are added as taste enhancers. Let’s see this quick breakfast recipe.

Accompaniments

Tomato Ketchup, Potato Chips/Fries

Ingredients:

• 2 Potatoes
• 1 Onion, finely chopped
• 1 Green Chilly, finely chopped
• Curry Leaves
• 1 TBSP Mustard Seeds
• 8 slices of bread
• Salt
• ¼ TBSP Red Chilli Powder
• ¼ TBSP Turmeric Powder
• 2 TBSP Oil
• Butter

Step 1: Boil the Potatoes and mash to a fine mixture. Keep Aside.
Step 2: Take a pan, heat the oil. Add Mustard seeds and let them crackle. Add Curry Leaves and saute for 10 sec.
Step 3: Add Onion and cook until light brown. Add all the spices and mix well.
Step 4: Add the mashed potatoes and get a fine mixture.
Step 5: Take a bread slice. Add the potato mixture to the bread and spread equally.
Step 6: Place the other bread on top of the sandwich.
Step 7: Heat the toaster. Once hot, add some butter and toast the sandwich.
Step 9: Serve hot with tomato ketchup and chips.

Funny enough, this made me want a tuna melt sandwhich. LOL.
