My Beatle drawings

When I started to get to know them thanks to a radio program I listened to on Sundays, I was interested in learning more about them. I was researching on the Internet, copying the lyrics of his songs, seeing photos and videos and then collecting all his original CDs, which took a few years to have because at that time I was a student and I didn't always have money to spend on what I liked.
I also used to cut out photos from newspapers and magazines, then I bought some books and others were also gifted to me.
Although I never did any course, since I was little I liked to draw and as a teenager I began to make portraits of my favorite artists, of several friends and of myself.
I present to you these drawings that I made of The Beatles several years ago, so I cannot show the process but only the final result.
The first one I drew was Paul McCartney. For that I relied on this photo from the album Beatles for sale, released in 1964, when the group started to rampage with their music around the world:

How I did it? I took a letter size white sheet and with a graphite pencil I began to shape the contour of the face. When I make portraits I always start there.
The second step for me is the eyes and the eyebrows, then the nose, the mouth and finally the hair and other details.
I remember that I finished it in two days and that it was difficult for me to achieve the look I wanted, so I erased a lot to correct and that is why the sheet has a beige hue, as worn, of course, also the result of the passage of time.
I think the easiest thing to do about the Paul McCartney portrait was the hair hahaha… anyway I was not very satisfied with the result, but it was my first Beatle drawing, so it would get better.
Later I drew all the Beatles. I searched my books and records for smiling photos of them because I wanted to make a composition of happy portraits. This was the result:
I drew the faces based on images of John, Paul, George and Ringo in their initial stage, that is to say when they became known worldwide and were between 21 and 24 years old.
I made the faces in pencil in small size, in a sketchbook. The procedure was the same as Paul's portrait, that is, I started by outlining the faces, then eyes, nose, mouth and hair. This time I worked a lot on the details and since the faces were small, it was more laborious. The most difficult to do was John Lennon, the most tremendous and crazy of The Beatles hahaha...
In total I think it took me about five days to do the four members of the group and this time I loved the result! What do you think?
These drawings were handmade by me and the photos for this post taken with a 16mp Fujifilm FinePix XP90 digital camera
