Have a nice day! Do you like crafts made by folk craftsmen? Have you tried making Souvenirs out of straw? Today I will show you some photos that I made at our fair of folk craftsmen, I hope they will please you :-)

Such lampshades and pendants are still present in many Kuban homes. People do not want to part with them, and young people are happy to go to master classes to learn how to weave from straw.

The art of straw weaving has developed in our region since ancient times. Here there was a custom to decorate the first " zazhinochny "and the last" dozhinochny " sheaf with wreaths from various ears, to leave the last spikelets plaited on the field.

Once these actions were given a magical meaning. But over time, the ceremonial attributes of the harvest acquired a purely symbolic meaning, became ornaments that were made according to tradition.

Here it is important to have imagination and desire to create :-)
