Hello everyone who made the jump with us, hello everyone who joined us just recently!

This should have been my first post on HIVE, but amidst all the drama it was just not possible to gather thought calmly and introduce myself on the HIVE blockchain!

Now that the storm has somewhat settled on the blockchain, and a storm in the real world has us locked up most of the time, @anomadsoul in association with @ocdb and @blocktrades brings us this opportunity to make amends, to share what this blockchain needs to know about us!

I am @simplifylife and here's my story!

Who am I? And what do I enjoy?

A Doctor

When I joined steem, I was a medical student, and now I am a Medical Doctor. I aspire to become an Internal Medicine specialist and I have been preparing for post-graduate entry to Internal Medicine training. I was looking for options both in my country and abroad. But everything has come to a standstill, and I have decided to Take a course on the Management of Covid-19 Patients and Prevent the spread of the SARS CoV-2.

Once normalcy is restored, I hope to continue on my journey towards my Internal Medicine PG Training! But for now, there are important things at hand, thing humanity can not just ignore.

(Ex)-Debater

When I was in highschool, Debating was a big part of my extra-curricular portfolio! I used travel to different cities just to take part in different debate tournaments and we had a 5 year run of being undefeated in my city, something that has not been repeated so far by any debate team till date in my city.

I don't debate now, but an extended period of involvement with the art of logical arguments has taught me to think very clearly and make decisions based on my own judgement, express my own points of view without being to worried of not getting the message across. I try to look for an explanation of thing happening around if I think that it's something my range of knowledge can appreciate!

A Bookworm

Reading books has been more of an addiction than a hobby. Novels, thrillers, detective stories, science fiction....I had them in my shelf. My mom had to warn my dad to keep an eye on me when we used to go out so that I don't sneak around and buy another book as there was no space in the house for more books and she wasn't kidding! If I had to name a few right out the top of my head, The whole Harry Potter series would be right up there, The half blood prince having a special place.

I'd also mention the stories of Dan Brown, but I'll skip the common ones, EVERYONE has read them. But I loved his Deception point, and Digital Fortress.

I read A LOT of Bengali authors as well such as Humayun Ahmed, Jafar Iqbal (I actually met him in person!), but the detective stories of Feluda, used to be my breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I could go on naming books I love, but that would need and entire new post!

Sports

I love watching cricket and football and I used to play a lot of cricket in my school days and too much football in my university years! But with my current professional responsibilities, time is scarce! But I do often watch my favorite teams play whenever the schedule opens up a bit!

Fragrance

I'm also a fragrance enthusiast and I love collecting an wearing different fragrances. I love to smell good and i in fact used to spend some of my earnings on steem to buy perfumes, which are quite expensive to pay for right out of pocket! I have even done a perfume review posted to the OCD community and I wanted to do a few more, but then the SUN shone upon our previous home!

MEMES, MEMES and MEMES

Oh And I almost forgot! Oh how could I forget! MEMES! MEMES! MEMES! I equally love creating and browsing through memes! Here's some of my latest memes on Lord Justin Sun, if you're interested.

And finally, A coffee freak!

When I say freak, I mean an actual life-size FREAK!
I carried a Home Espresso Machine all the way from china to Bangladesh! That should sum it up for you guys!

I love making my own Lattes and Cappuccinos! I will often make a Latte or a Cappuccino whenever there are guests over, everyone is a bit intrigued by my coffee machine and how it works. Instead of showing how it works, I let them see how it tastes!

Pardon my horrible Latte Art skills LOL!

I'll make myself a cup of drip coffee every afternoon when I'm home. I'll have to start storing ice for making iced drip coffee as the summer approaches!

I guess that's a lot of information, maybe a bit too much! I look forward to reading a lot of these posts from people I already follow and interact with, and maybe read some from entirely new users and know their stories too!
