It's International Women's Day and I'm really excited!

I thought to power up some Steem to boost myself. Is there anything to get excited about? Maybe NO. Not on Steem not in my personal life. But we need to create our own motivation, right?

That's why I'm calling every woman in this Blockchain to power up some. It will not make a huge change but it sure will make you feel powerful. Yeah, there's no need to take such action to prove how powerful we are because we already are powerful. But you can do this just as an initiative to make solidarity with all the women out there.

Happy Wome's Day to all of you and let's share some Women's day thoughts!

I'm from a country where every day I heard rape news. Yeah, every single day. On the other hand, I get to see a lot of women are doing great. They are becoming entrepreneurs, dominating the corporate world, the fashion industry, and whatnot. But I sometimes feel there's a gap. A gap to make an inclusive plan to empower every single woman.

I would not say the current policy is failing. It's empowering women for sure. But maybe society is holding back many things to work as a barrier. In this century, it's essential to be financially independent. But you will get to see how impossible this is, even for a highly educated woman to be financially independent in my country like Bangladesh. Yeah, the society is holding us back.

When I get to see women are still facing oppression in every sector in life, in this business world; it makes me feel guilty. We have so many things to do from our individual level. But we are so ignorant. I'm not fully attached to any kind of project who works for women empowerment. But I do occasionally donate. Last month, I donated money on a project who distribute sanitary pad to women who don't have access to that. I think our little effort can bring a positive change.

But before that, we as a woman has a huge responsibility to make us empower. It's something which can't be done by anyone else, you know. No matter how much the Government, or any authority or even the men try to empower us. We will never be empowered until we feel and try for it. Also, we have to talk more about it to make an impact, to change other's thoughts about it.

People wonder, why we need Women's day in this 20th century. Yeah, I also wonder, why we do. We shouldn't if the would will change by now about how they treat women. I say, can't you see how women are treated around the world. We still hesitate to elect a woman in a leading position. Even we don't bother women's concerns at our own home. So, how we suppose we are making this world a better place for the women of the next generations?

Women are capable of doing so many things, we just need the right trigger. And the trigger is in our hands.
