Can happiness be bought?
Making a kid happy is not a tough job. You don't have to spend even $1. Just some cheap candy or a balloon can make them happy!
But what about us?
When I buy something fancy I always ask myself 'why'? And surprisingly many times I got the answer to this answer, 'to make me happy'. Maybe because of this materialistic social structure or maybe happiness can really be bought.
I would say, happiness may not have a direct connection with money but money does have some impact, right? And in another term, maybe you directly can buy happiness but you can arrange many things to make you and others happy. Just buy some food for the 'homeless' or the 'street child' you will feel the power of money.
It sounds complicated, I know. Don't feel ashamed if you find yourself finding happiness in a 'materialistic' thing. Because we raised in such a society it's hard to get rid of the idea to accomplish things for 'social approval' or for 'a good life'. The question shouldn't about whether or not money can buy happiness the question should be 'how we are making ourselves and others happy.
It's not always about money but we actually can buy happiness. The 'exchange' would not happen with money but with other things. Like giving time, help, support love and so many things. It's totally possible to bring happiness by expending these. So, yeah we can buy happiness, maybe not with money but with all these things.
I bought a few lollipops for my son and I have seen how happy he was. Maybe this will not last long but it will create some moments.
Our achievements, accomplishments, success everything is related to money. So, it would be oversimplification if we say we can be happy without money. But it's true that 'money can't buy happiness'. If you don't know how to create moments, how to make a relationship, how to bring love; money will not help you with this.
But your own happiness with your money, love, help, and everything!
