My Visit to Sadar Bazar - MarketFriday

in GEMS4 years ago

Hey Guys,

Going to the market and buying things is always a fun task and I literally enjoy buying each and everything that I do in the market. This Friday I went to the nearest local market which is also known as Sardar Bazar and it's located in the main city of Gurugram. This Sadar Bazar is the best place for the people who are living nearby because here they can get things at a lower price as compared to the branded store.

I usually prefer to go to this market on Friday and always avoid going on the weekend because on Saturday and Sunday there is a huge crowd. This market is very good because of the variety of goods available. I wanted to buy it is available and I can even bargain the price with shopkeepers. I wanted to buy some clothes and for that, I went to the market. As you can see there are a lot of shops having all the stops like sari daily household things and many more. Shops are located both sides of the road and as you can see most of the road is occupied by the customers or shopkeepers. Even people have parked their two-wheelers on the roadside which is also occupying the space.

Few streets The market was super crowded as you can see in this photo and just assume this was a Friday and how the situation would be on a weekend when people are having their weekly off. In the week in time, people don't drive the vehicle in this street because that's not possible in the first place and If somebody tries to enter then it takes hours for him to reach the destination or get away from the market.

The best part about the market is that we can negotiate the price and can do a lot of bargaining for anything that I like. Sometimes the shopkeeper agrees for the price I want and sometimes doesn't but that's okay because if he agrees then I get the things at the cheapest price but if he's not then I try to go for another shop. Please don't miss-understood the bargaining in a wrong way because the shopkeepers are so smart and many of them already keep the prices on the higher side because they know that the customers will be doing bargain and they have to reduce it. So to keep the balance they already increase the price and when they still do selling that the price is good for them. In fact, this is a situation where the customer is happy and even shopkeeper is because the customer is getting the things at the price he or she wants and the shopkeeper is happy because he already sold at the desire priced.

Things are surely not well organized but it's fun for sure because there is no formality and I can go to any shop easily to check out what They have in the store. If I don't feel like buying anything I can leave the shop. In the day time, every shop has a dozen customers to deal with. so they try to close the deal fastest possible so that they can attend to another one.

I found this shop selling Saree and entered to see what saree collections and varieties are available there. There are fewer people in the shop and thats why I choose this one to go for.

I am not good at sari selection because when I enter the shop and I get to see dozens of Saree in front of me then it's very difficult to decide which are the ones I should buy. I wanted to Buy one pair but deciding that one was not easy for me and it took really hours of time to make the final decision. My husband also help me in this one then only I could finalize the two pieces of saree.

Singh is fun but when we get shoe collection then picking some of the pieces out of that collection is not easy and I am sure many women and girls will agree with my thought. Times when I have time and have no plans to buy anything still I go to the market and try to see what's available around because it's fun to see what new fabrics and designs are coming in the market. Sometimes even window shopping is so much fun and I can spend hours of time in that. And the best thing about this market is that nobody is going to see whether you are buying or not buying because there are lot of people and unlike big stores when a salesperson is assigned here is no such arrangement.

Spend about 2 to 3 hours in the market and thereafter had lunch in one of the restaurants so it was a good outing and I thoroughly enjoyed the time in the market. I think sometimes we should also go to such places after taking out some time from your busy schedule because this is something which can make us happy and it's a good way to pass the time. Meeting and talking with so many people is something that I always like but because of the busy work schedule, sometime it's not feasible to go market quite frequently however whenever I get time or have some plans to buy anything, I come to this Sadar Bazar market.

Thank you so much

Have a great weekend

This was such a wonderful post! I want to thank you for posting such a wonderful #MarketFriday post this week!

I couldn't believe the crowds and it wasn't even the weekend!!! Wow! The motorcycles shouldn't be allowed to park there, right? It takes up so much precious space!

You picked the pink pattern, right? I would never be able to make up my mind for that. So many beautiful patterns. And you are right with the bargaining. Good thing you are not in a rush when you go shopping!! :) I love going to places like this and I want to thank you for letting us into your world! This was so awesome!

#MarketFriday loves you!
