Un gran saludo a la comunidad de steemit, aquí en Venezuela, al igual que en otros países, también estamos en cuarentena por el corona-virus, la verdad es que es difícil estar encerrado en casa, pero hay que cumplir con esta norma para que este virus no siga avanzando. Quizás muchas personas aprovecharon estos días para arreglar algunas cosas pendientes en su casa, yo por mi parte, me quede en la finca para atender mis plantas frutales.

Greetings to the Steemit community, here in Venezuela, as in other countries, we are also in quarantine for the coronavirus, the truth is that it is difficult to be locked up at home, but you must comply with this rule to stop this virus. Perhaps many people took advantage of these days to fix some pending things in their house, I, for my part, stayed on the farm to take care of my fruit plants.

Aprovechando los días de cuarentena en mi finca

En esta cuarentena decidí quedarme en la finca porque allá siempre hay algo que hacer. En la granja los días son tranquilos y agradables, me gusta disfrutar de la frescura del amanecer, el canto de los pájaros, y mirar los colores del cielo al atardecer. Cuando estoy en la finca, generalmente me acuesto temprano, pero antes de hacerlo, le doy gracias a Dios por el maravilloso tiempo que me da todos los días.

On the farm, the days are calm and pleasant, I like to enjoy the freshness of the sunrise, the singing of the birds and watch the colors of the sky at sunset. When I'm on the farm, I usually go to bed early, but before I do, I thank God for the wonderful time He gives me every day.

Mi finca esta ubicada a 100 km de mi residencia en la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz del Estado Anzoátegui en Venezuela, y antes de la cuarentena acostumbraba a visitarla solo los fines de semana, pero con la escasez de gasolina decidí quedarme unos días mientras pasara la cuarentena, porque en mi finca siempre hay algo que hacer.

El día 15 de marzo, un día antes de decretarse la cuarentena, se me ocurrió una brillante idea, y fue la de poner en marcha un proyecto agrícolas de siembra de hortalizas, el cual tenia pendiente desde hace meses, pero por falta de maquinaria agrícola no lo había podido iniciar, pero ese día decidí hacerlo. sin perder más el tiempo, comencé a preparar la tierra y a elaborar los semilleros para la producción de las plántulas de cebollas y cebollinos.

Algunos amigos y colegas agricultores me aconsejaban que no cultivara las hortalizas en estos días de cuarentena, por el problema de la escasez de los insumos, es decir, que ellos consideraban que estos días eran muymalos.

Trasplantando cebollas y cebollinos en días de cuarentena

Como les decía anteriormente, el 15 de marzo comencé con mi proyecto de siembra de las cebollas, cebollinos, ají y pimentones comenzando con la preparación de los semilleros o almacigo para la producción de las plántulas, que luego se llevaran al sitio definitivo para que se desarrollen y den sus frutos.

El cuidado de los cultivos

Debo decirles que el éxito de cualquier cultivo va a depender de los cuidados que se le hagan a las plantas, y para ello hay que tomar en cuenta las necesidades de nutrientes que ellas requieran en sus diferentes etapas de crecimiento.
Para que las plantas se desarrollen sanas y vigorosas es preciso diseñar los programas de riegos, de fertilización y de mantener los cultivos libres de malezas. Todos estos programas se rigen por un crono-grama para un mejor "aprovechamiento del tiempo".

75 días de cuarentena dedicado a mis cultivos

Desde que inicié los cultivos hasta el día de hoy, han transcurrido 75 días, y estoy sorprendido por todo lo que he logrado hacer en estos días difíciles por el corona-virus, y es que con Dios todas las cosas son posibles.

"El señor afirma los pasos del hombre cuando le agrada su modo de vivir; podrá tropezar, pero no caerá, porque el Señor lo sostiene de la mano." Salmo 37: 23-24

For plants to develop healthy and vigorous, it is necessary to design irrigation programs, fertilization and keep crops free of weeds. All these programs are governed by a schedule for a better "use of time".

75 days of quarantine dedicated to my crops

It has been 75 days since I started cultivation until today, and I am amazed at what I have managed to do in these difficult days due to the virus crown, and that with God everything is possible.

La cosecha es el momento más importante para un agricultor, porque cada fruto que llega a sus manos representa todo su esfuerzo invertido en sus cultivos. Hoy me siento muy alegre porque gracias Dios, ya comencé a cosechar los cebollinos y luego serán las cebollas.

Lo que aprendí de los días de cuarentena

En estos días de cuarentena que he pasado trabajando la agricultura, me han enseñado a valorar el tiempo, he aprendido lo valioso que es el tiempo, aprendí que no necesitamos más tiempo del que disponemos, solo necesitamos administrarlo bien, muchas veces desperdiciamos el tiempo en cosas ociosas, en vez de aprovecharlas en cosas productivas y significativas para nuestra vida.

What I learned from the days of quarantine

In these quarantine days that I have been working in agriculture, they have taught me to value time, I have learned how valuable time is, I learned that we do not need more time than we have, we only need to manage it well, many times we waste time in idle things, instead of taking advantage of them in productive and significant things for our life.
