Nevada Desert Roadside Images
Welcome back! Here are a collection of images I took on a trip to the Nevada desert a few years ago. These are from some of the many parking spots and pullovers along the North Shore Road and inside Valley of Fire State Park. Please sit back and enjoy yourself as we travel through the southern Nevada desert. :)
North Shore Road
After studying some maps I had wanted to take this road rather than the quicker interstate route. I always enjoy the road less traveled and boy did this one deliver! It was mid-December and there were very few other people to be seen. It was like we had the whole road to our self, just the way I like it. :)
Lots of contrasting rock colors in the this desert.
You never knew what you might see around the next corner.
A couple views looking two directions from a little parking lot off the road. I'm thinking during peak tourist season there must be a lot more cars on this road.
An Oasis in the Desert
After a long drive in the desert, Rogers Spring was a welcome sight. It's just nice to know that water does exist out there. :)
Valley of Fire State Park
An image of the rocks just after entering the park on the east side.
One of the very strange rock formations in the visitor center parking lot.

A shot of the road as it winds its way toward the end of the park.
Definitely a couple places I would like to visit again! Except this time I would go the opposite direction to catch things I might have missed. :)
Photos taken by me, @oldmans, with a Nikon D3300 and some Lightroom post processing.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your day!
