I sound like a broken record every time
Yes, every time speak of my country Nigeria
Looks like we live in a mass hysteria
Or it is a problem for countries that ends in ria?
We have clueless leaders who doesn't understand anything
My bad, the only word they understand is 'loot'
Setting terrible precedence for those coming behind them
They don't care as long as they have their own fill
They have sold this country, taken interest even on it
It's shameful when you have money but no influence
When you have charm but you have no confidence
When you have power but your impact is not felt
That's the situation we have gotten ourselves into
Because we have those who promised and failed at it
There is no nation building just pocket strengthening
If this is what democracy is about, please let's be colonized
The left the blue print and went rogue on the citizens
Power is overrated when you have to use force
It's shameful because we are living in past glory
Giants of Africa with nothing to show for it
A nation that overlooks her youth will head into doom
We are the leaders of tomorrow they say
The tomorrow looks bleak with burnt dreams
