You feel that love and correction gently
There is no substitute for family, that's surely
When I count my blessings I count them twice
Knowing how blessed it is to be where you belong
Those who love you even when you don't feel among
Been with you through thick and thin singing your song
Family is like a flowing stream down the road
Taking away with it your dirt and absorbing it
Channelling it for the greater good just to make you better
Dumping it where it should be, a past of forgetfulness
Every time you step into the river, it is new
With every thrust, the experience is always different
Because you face different challenges in life
They are your safety net, your hiding spot and your comfort zone
Cherish the one you have because they all matter
Let their love leave your worries buried and scattered
We all start and end with family in this life
Family are those who put your interest above theirs
A life of endless sacrifice -
