You left the face of the earth, 16th May, 1998
I thought years would heal this wound but no
Another year without you to reach
I can't believe it's already so many years
How time flies by with the speed of jet
Yet your memory stays the same in my heart Every day no new word of yours to preach Your thoughts bring me to tears
I wish we could spend more time together
Within me I have what you teach
Your smile drove away all fears
Your smile was my safety net while growing up
Your are sweeter than peach dearest sister
You stood out among your peers
Everything about you was different back then
Your memory still looks fresh just like yesterday
Snatched away without a goodbye
Unexpected, sudden, cold and swift
I wish I was with you in your last moment
Your smile forever etched in my heart
Soft, tender, gentle and kindhearted
With us you have not departed, not at all
We carry you everywhere we go
Family is not just in the physical but in the heart

You were one when you were here on earth though
It was a homecoming anyway for you in heaven
Earth's loss has now become Heaven's gains
