Behind The Photo contest - Edition #8 by @nelyp// Blue horizon of my city

Hello dear steemit community

Welcome to my blog, this time I share with you my first participation in the Behind The Photo contest organized by @nelyp and @johan.norberg , sponsored by @appreciator

I always saw quite a few publications in reference to this contest and I took on the task of carrying out this great initiative. It's an invitation from my friend @nelyp where she invites us to live and detail the story behind the photo, it's a great idea and I liked it, besides it's open to both professional and amateur photographers. I like photography although I'm not an expert in the field, but I like to capture all kinds of scenery and places where I go, that's why today I will tell you closely the story behind my photo.

Location

About a month ago, specifically on February 19 I went on a trip to a town near my home, it is a pretty nice place surrounded by vegetation, the day we had to come we found the access road closed so we had to go back home and wait for the next day, it turns out that they did not open either so we had to take the longer and less busy road for our return home. I thought it was an excellent idea, since I had in mind to take several pictures in a very popular place called San Antonio del Golfo, which is a boardwalk and many tourists stop to photograph the sea, I did it with the intention of having a publication for this platform. We left at about 5 am to take advantage of the unknown route.

We managed to get through part of the trip super smoothly, then I decided to take pictures on my way back until I got to the final picture I wanted, so some came out more noticeable than others. One of the forces that pushed me to take this final photo is because I love how the sea looks like in this part of Sucre state, besides I like a lot the life of the sea and nature.

On the road

On the way I activated my camera Lumix DCM-LS, Panasonic and photographed as much as I could, after some time our cars stopped because they were overheating due to the steep road we were passing, it was a lonely road full of trees, I took advantage of that moment and took some pictures of the family in the middle of the journey.

Direct route

It was a one-way street, so it was unlikely to get lost. Once we rested, had our coffee and the cars rested, we could continue on our steep road but with more caution. There were few nearby towns, they were rather super far away from each other, there were moments when we were alone on the road, my only illusion was to get to the mainland and take my picture in San Antonio, I set out to photograph the sky on my way down and admire the soft blue of the immense sky.

The horizon

Little by little, the horizon was getting closer and we could start to see the town of San Antonio, a tourist and super emblematic place in my city. We had about 2 hours of uncertain road, but all of us were very united to reach our destination, we were coming in a caravan with 2 family cars.

San Antonio del Golfo

After the trip we could be in front of the sea for a while taking pictures and admiring the beautiful nature that our lord gives us, I really like to feel this connection with water and nature. Part of the photographs until we reach the desired one that is on the cover.
