• Fashion spirit is activated this morning and i so love to show us how i usually cut ✂️ my panel skirt, i made a sketch of this on a jotter and that is just thesame way i will transfer all measurement on fabric.

• Panel skirt is a form of skirt that is fitted at the waist and hip which then flows out from the knee length into an A line or fish tail forming a beautiful ball shape at the full length.

• The name panel is derieved from the dart that runs down the length of the skirt, this can be 4, 6 or 8 panels as desired and it stands for the number of pieces the skirt waa cut into to derieve the dart.

• Here i made a 6 pieces panel skirt and after it is sewn thw dart lines can be seen running beautifully down the skirt.

• The center front is first created which is then places on folded fabric to derieve and cut the side front and back
  The center front is also used to cut the center back following every detail as i have demonstrated.

• A hip shape is created at 8-11inches down the center back to contain the ball hip shape at the back, with the center front in place the shape is created by going in two inches at that measurement as seen below

• The last part is sewing in which i will join all the parts together, cut lining thesame way and use it to line the wrong side of the fabric.
